October We Players!

I'm excited to have begun work with We Players, a San Francisco theater company. I recorded one of their final performances of King Fool 2 weeks ago, and will have a condensed video of the performance up some time this month. It was performed at the Battery Wallace in the Marin Headlands.

I also documented their Vessels for Improvisation at the Hyde St Pier last weekend. I uploaded some photos to my events page, but here are a few more!

If you haven't seen their work, I highly recommend it. They do site-specific theater, meaning that they don't use a traditional stage, but instead pick a site of historical or cultural significance and build the performance around the location. Each work takes on aspects of the location they have chosen. I find these types of performances to be very intriguing and enjoyable. Even when I don't understand the language - i.e. Shakespeare - there's always cast/audience interaction and great scenery and ambiance.
